Hidden Plémont with Nicky Mansell

What to expect:

Join Jersey Uncovered Blue Badge Guide Nicky Mansell on an exploration of Plemont Headland, once the site of a derelict holiday camp now demolished and restored to nature.

This stunning headland is now managed by the National Trust of Jersey, and offers superb views across to the RAMSAR* site of the Pater Noster reef. Learn about the remarkable wildlife and birdlife that now populates this beautifully restored area, and if you are lucky, you may spot a Puffin, or the odd pod of dolphin.

From the headland, descend to the beach far below, to take the opportunity to explore the caves created along ancient fault lines and learn about the geology of the area.  Hear how these remarkable caves, a tourist attraction through the centuries, were formed by past earthquakes and shaped by the power of the sea.

Make sure you wear clothes and footwear suitable for wading through rock pools.

This is an easy walk suitable for families but will involve scrambling over rocks and into caves. You will more than likely end up with wet feet, but happy memories of a fun exploration.
