Bergerac Tour: Solve the mystery of the stolen jewels

Solve the mystery of the stolen jewels

Jewels

America’s most iconic sex symbol, Marilyn Monroe was adored by men and women all over the country during her hey day. A little known fact about her however is that despite her glamorous lifestyle and many admirers, she never owned fine jewellery of her own. The single genuine piece of jewellery that she finally received was a single strand Akoya Pearl Necklace from Mikimoto, Japan, which was purchased for her by her husband Joe DiMaggio.

By chance that famous necklace has found its way into the hands of a local collector, fascinated by Marilyn, and is on display in his private collection, to be viewed only by a few close friends and his housekeeping staff.

The Mystery

Last week a shocking discovery was made. On his return from holiday the collector realised there had been a break in. While at first everything seemed to be in place, it was later revealed that Marilyn’s necklace had been stolen.
